Monica Miatello is a Canadian writer and speaker who shares her experience as a trans woman (having transitioned in 1997 and gender reassignment surgery in March 1999) to help those transitioning and the people supporting them. Aside from writing, Monica enjoys riding her motorcycle, playing the drums, ten-pin bowling, and golfing. In fact, she is currently serving as the ladies’ captain at her golf club. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching NFL football, NHL hockey, golf, and professional bowling when available.
